The Neurilemmoma of the Stomach

Abstract
By benign tumors of the stomach is meant adenomata, papillomata, myomata, fibromata, cysts, angiomata, lipomata and misnomer "polyp".
Nonepithelial benign tumors of the stomach are very rare: even rarer are neurogenic tumors. However, approximately 10.9 percent of benign tumors of the stomach are neurofibromas.
Neurilemmomas were first established as a pathologic entity by Verocay, who called them neurinomas.
Neurilemmomas are tumors of the neurilemma or nerve sheath of Schwann, The characteristic lesion is a solitary, encapsulated, benign tumor occurring along the course of a peripheral, cranial, or sympathetic nerve.
Our case shows an intragastric projection with ulcer and bleeding.
The clinical report with all details is given.
